Care Assistant

Purpose of Position

  1. To provide an all inclusive range of home care tasks to individuals or families eligible to receive service, to assist them and their carers to remain in their own home.
  2. The aim of the under mentioned duties is to create a supportive, homely atmosphere where users and carers of any client group can achieve maximum independence and healthy functioning within the lifestyle they choose.

Principle Responsibilities

  1. To carry out the full range of personal caring tasks or motivate and oversee the performance of such tasks by users with the importance of maintaining and enhancing independence uppermost.
  2. Assist clients who need help with dressing, undressing, and the toilet.
  3. Help clients with mobility problems and other physical disabilities including incontinence, help in use and care of aids and personal equipment.
  4. Care for clients who are temporarily sick and needing for example, minor dressing, bed nursing.
  5. To carry out a full range of domestic tasks or motivate and oversee the performance of such tasks by users with the importance of maintaining and enhancing independence uppermost and according to an agreed care plan.
  6. Help in the promotion of mental and physical activity of clients through talking to them, taking them out, sharing with them in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies and recreations.

Care Co-ordinator

Purpose of Job

  1. To co-ordinate the delivery of care services to all Jay’s clients and service users within the named Borough or Service Area.
  2. To maintain the integrity and accuracy of all data stored on our computer and filing system, ensuring all bookings are correctly recorded and information is kept up to date at all times.
  3. To provide a cover care service and deliver care as may be required from time to time when emergencies, or short term requirements present such a need and in the absence of any other member of staff who would otherwise be able to assist.
  4. To record all communications into and out of the office in the prescribed manner, using the pre-printed care co-ordinators day book and client contact sheets.
  5. To interview and recruit suitable staff and carers and to ensure all carers are inducted and trained to enable them to deliver a quality service.
  6. To participate in ‘on call ‘duty on regular basis and when requested as an emergency cover.

Field Supervisor

Principle Responsibilities

  1. To introduce the Jay’s service to all new service users, ensuring they are given and have explained all relevant information, including the Jay’s customer charter and the complaints procedure.
  2. To carry out risk assessments at all new service users homes and ensure the working environment is safe for carers and clients, where it is not to liaise with social services to rectify any unsafe areas, items and to inform carers, clients and the office accordingly.
  3. To carry out reviews on packages on annually or when required.
  4. To deliver spot checks to all service users annually or when required.
  5. Ensure that client/staff files are maintained and updated as required. Ensure the events and outcomes of all client visits, carer consultations, spot checks, complaints etc., are all recorded in all cases immediately following the event/visit.
  6. Ensure that clients care plans are updated, completed regularly and accurately by carers and kept in the client’s home. Copies of client notes over 6 weeks old should be and returned to the client’s file in the office.
  7. Preparation of statistics/reports on service delivery as directed by the care manager or office co-ordinator.

Trainee Manager

Purpose of Job

  1. Develop new business relationships, generate and negotiate new income for Jays to an agreed annual target of invoiced revenue, to increae year on year.
  2. Determine new opportunities by analyzing business needs.
  3. Prepare the annual Business Development Plan.
  4. Lead and develop staff by identifying training needs.
  5. Define and follow up of yearly targets and objectives.
  6. Develop and implement strategies for new services.
  7. Create and be accountable for all client proposals, contracts and any further documentation, following Jays’ procedures and service specifications.

Care Manager

Purpose of Job

  1. To liaise with all relevant Health and Social Care parties including Commission for Social Care Inspection concerning client and service user’s issues. To participate in ‘on call’ duty on regular basis and when emergency.
  2. To maintain the integrity and accuracy of all data stored on our computer system, ensuring all bookings are correctly recorded and information is kept up to date at all times.
  3. To provide a cover care service and deliver care as may be required from time to time when emergencies, or short term requirements presents suh a need and in absence of any other member of staff who would otherwise be able to assist.
  4. To be able to prepare Key Performance Indicators on monthly bases and submit it to relevant Social Services and Internal Systems Manager at Head  Office in line with Quality Assurance policy and procedures. To provide reports on office performance when requested by Internal Systems Manager/ Performance and Monitoring Manager.
  5. To expand the levels of business by increasing the numbers of clients and care hours delivered by the office.
  6. To interview and recruit suitable staff and carers and to ensure all carers are inducted and trained to enable them to deliver a quality service.
