Jays was set up by Jean Smith, a district nurse and lecturer, who believed that companies should care about the people they look after. Jean prides herself on the fact that Jays remains to be a family business and not a corporation.

Jays provides a comprehensive and flexible range of professional domiciliary care services throughout the UK. At Jays, we see the role of care provision as one of rehabilitation, enabling and development of independence, and we work towards maintaining as much independence as possible. This is achieved through supporting and encouraging people to do as much for themselves as they can, rather than doing for or to them.

Jays Homecare has established over the years a reputation of providing high quality client centred care and support services. We believe that this is a direct result of our approach to client service and the need to employ the right people in such sensitive environments. We work to a very professional code of conduct and have excellent support and administrative functions.
