Care assistant

You will need to provide an all inclusive range of home care tasks to individuals or families. You'll need to assist them and their carers to remain in their own home. The duties mentioned below is aimed at creating a supportive, homely atmosphere where users and carers of any client group can achieve maximum independence and healthy functioning within their chosen lifestyle. The principle responsibilities include:
  • Carry out the full range of personal caring tasks, motivate and oversee the performance of such tasks by users, help them maintain and enhance independence
  • Assist clients with dressing, undressing and using the toilet
  • Help clients with mobility issues and other physical disabilities including incontinence, help in use and care of aids and personal equipment
  • Care for clients who are temporarily sick and need minor dressing or bed nursing
  • Carry out a full range of domestic tasks or motivate and oversee the performance of such tasks by users according to an agreed care plan
  • Help in promoting mental and physical activity of clients by talking to them, taking them out and sharing with them in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies and recreations
Training

Care coordinator

The purpose of the job is:
  • To coordinate care delivery services to all clients and service users within the service area
  • To maintain the integrity and accuracy of all data stored in the computer and filing system and ensure that all bookings are correctly recorded and information is kept up-to-date at all times
  • To provide a cover care service and deliver care from time to time when emergencies, or short-term requirements present such a need, and in the absence of any other member of staff
  • To record all communications into and out of the office in the prescribed manner, using the pre printed care coordinators day book and client contact sheets
  • To interview and recruit suitable staff and carers and to ensure all carers are inducted and trained to enable them to deliver a quality service
  • To participate in 'on call' duty on a regular basis and when requested as an emergency

Field supervisor

The purpose of the job is:
  • To introduce our service to all new service users, and ensure that they are given and have explained all relevant information, including our customer charter and complaints procedures
  • To carry out risk assessments at all new users homes to ensure that the working environment is safe for carers and clients, to liaise with social services to rectify any unsafe areas and items, and to inform carers, clients and the office accordingly
  • To carry out reviews on packages annually or when required
  • To deliver spot checks to all service users annually or when required
  • Ensure that the client and staff flies are maintained and updated as required and ensure that the events and outcomes of all client visits, carer consultations, spot checks and complaints are recorded in all cases immediately
  • Ensure that the clients care plans are updated, completed regularly and accurately by carers and kept in clients' homes. Copies of client notes over 6 weeks old should be returned to the clients' file in office
  • Preparation of statistics and reports on service delivery as directed by the care manager or office coordinator

Trainee manager

The purpose of the job is:
  • To develop new business relationships, generate and negotiate new income to an agreed annual target of invoiced revenue, to increase year on year
  • Determine new opportunities by analysing business needs
  • Prepare the annual business development plan
  • Lead and develop staff by identifying training needs
  • Define and follow up of yearly targets and objectives
  • Develop and implement strategies for new services
  • Create and be accountable for all client proposals, contracts and any further documentation, following our procedures and service specifications

Care manager

The purpose of the job is:
  • To liaise with all relevant health and social care parties including Commission for Social Care Inspection concerning client and service users' issues, and to participate in 'on call' duty on a regular basis and during any emergency
  • To maintain the integrity and accuracy of all data stored on our computer system, ensuring that all bookings are correctly recorded and information is kept up-to-date at all times
  • To provide a cover care service and deliver care as may be required from time to time when emergencies, or short-term requirements arrive and in the absence of any other member of staff 
  • To be able to prepare key performance indicators on monthly basis and submit it to relevant social services and internal systems manager at our head office in line with quality assurance policies and procedures, to also provide reports on office performances when requested by internal systems manager and performance and monitoring manager
  • To expand the levels of business by increasing the numbers of clients and care hours delivered by the office
  • To interview and recruit suitable staff and carers and to ensure that all carers are inducted and trained to enable them to deliver a quality service
